Is it possible to have a new start in life at the age of 66, I am hoping so.
I have had a lot of inspiration in my life and quite a few positive friends to help me believe that it is possible.
Blogs they say are a young person's game but I would argue that but will say that it has taken some practice to get this far and research and study. Let me start by giving you an idea of what this is about.
Retiring at 66 yrs old seemed like a distant dream to me, however, in reality, it was just around the corner ( I was 65 ) but how the devil was I going to be able to afford to retire, it just didn't seem possible. This called for some investigation and a few ideas, the latter never came easy to me! Up until 65 I had tried all sorts of things to try and make a decent income but always ended up with the washing up or cleaning jobs, don't get me wrong there is absolutely nothing wrong with that kind of work, it taught me what hard work really was all about but it was never going to make me a fortune, in fact, it would just keep me afloat.
Regrets
For most of my life keeping afloat would be the norm but I learned a lot in that time, I wouldn't change a thing. '' Well not everything '' Some things I would, like selling my house, I do regret doing that!
Changing your way of thinking.
This is a hard one and something I have struggled with, I have never been a confident person and always thought I would never amount to much, it was always the fact that if you didn't do well at school then it would not be possible for you to get anywhere in life and you would only ever be able to do the jobs that took no training or thought to do. So that was that! I did, however, manage to land myself a pretty good job in the printing industry but that was rudely interrupted by having a family. After the family had flown the nest it was then back to the washing up and cleaning, those years would always have taught me a lot and I will always be grateful for that.
Changing the way you think is half the battle, knowing what you want is a huge help as well, instead of thinking you need to make money as quickly as possible and as much as you can because it will solve all your problems straight away! Sit down, think about what you want, and be realistic. At 65 I decided I needed to make a positive move to how I handled life, surrounding myself with only positive people and positive things. I would not let anyone or anything drag me down I have had enough bad luck in the first three months of 24 to fill a few negative buckets. With a positive head, you can achieve a lot and it makes it so much easier.
Digital Age
So 2024 is going to be a new start, it had to be an online idea so I could travel around the country, and making the most of the digital age seemed like a good idea, but, WAIT!! I had no idea how to use the internet or the first thing about websites and running a business, what would I sell?
Making plans
I decided to borrow some money back in 2023 and make some plans, getting things booked, like time away which would give me the incentive to go forward. Being a keen motorcyclist it had to be along those lines and it had to be paid for, if something is paid for I will have to get sorted, I hate wasting money. Then I started to make plans on how I was going to fund all this and eventually retire to carry on living life!
My other priority was to see if I could somehow raise the funds to buy my house back, that would become very important. I had tried lots of business ideas online in the past, MLM ( Multi-level Marketing ), building a website for motorcycling, and all sorts of different ideas, but I could not commit to one of them fully, it just wasn't working and lack of skill was shining through.
Finding the right course
I must have spent hours and hours looking, or should I say scrolling through courses & ideas to make money online but it was all so expensive. Hands up who has done the same.
It's a minefield and I kept getting blown up, and so many promises of making me rich quick, and that never works, we know that. I had some of the money left so I kept going with my positive mindset to the fore. One morning I flicked the computer on to start another day of searching and decided to look into starting up my MLM marketing company again it was still my business and I still loved the products, I have sneaked a link in here if you are interested in Aloe Vera Products. https://thealoeveraco.shop/XTzwvVyv
While I was searching as is always the way, an advert popped up and I was just about to click off it, thinking to myself oh for goodness sake! when it caught my eye and imagination. A man walking along a beach telling me about authority marketing and affiliate marketing, Wait!! Affiliate Marketing! Something I have always wanted to do but never known how to, I was interested and watched the whole advert.
That man's name was Stewart and I have never looked back, I have now learned how to do affiliate marketing, which means NO cold calling, something I am not comfortable with at all.
