It’s a shift that’s for sure!
I never thought that retirement could be this worrying, my friends have done it and seem to be getting on well, but I think that’s because they had it all worked out years ago.
A lesson to us all, get it sorted early on.
Should it mean that we haven’t done it right though.
It’s a hard one, because no matter how often you say it to the youngsters they are always going to think they have it sorted already and just like I did at their age, you trundel along saying to yourself, it’s fine it will be ok. My son still says that to this day and he is 40 this year!!
I mean, we shouldn’t beet ourselves up over it, that’s a waste of time and energy, instead we need to start figuring out what to do about it now!
Check your plans and add up the numbers.
By far the best thing to do is to check the numbers early and do some number crunching, something I never did mainly because ” Maths” was never my thing ( very lazy )!
